Who are you? Why did you create this website?

is developed by Paraphe Studio, a development studio based in Paris, France. We work regularly with French journalists to improve their apps, websites, and tools.

Terminally online, we were frustrated that there was no easy-to-browse website with all the known documents, files, and photos related to the Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell investigations.

There's a saying on the web: If it doesn't exist on the Internet, it's up to you to create it! So we did that. We simply published a list linking to the official Dropboxes and Google Drive folders coming from the U.S. government and representatives.

But simply linking to the files is the first step in (y)our journey. Without context, how can we understand the files? When was each file released? Who released it? Is it the whole picture, literally, or is there something unreleased yet? Who am I looking at? Where was this picture taken? Why does it matter? Why should I even care?

We hope to improve this simple website into a proper platform, keeping in mind those goals:

  • Only share documents, files and pictures that are released from official sources;
  • Respect survivors at every moment;
  • Allow identified users to contribute to the metadata and context, using sourced evidence;
  • Offer ways to make sense of those files using folders, categories, groups, links, etc.;
  • Don’t judge ourselves, but offer links to external analysis and reactions;
  • Keep it simple, fast, easy to browse, and of course, free for everyone to visit.

Other questions

Are you Republicans/Democrats?

We are neither. Wanting to unravel the mysteries behind the Jeffrey Epstein (and Ghislaine Maxwell) investigations are a massively transpartisan matter. We know that the "selection" made before release may be biased depending on who releases the files and when, but we always try to make this clear.

The website itself is created by a random French development studio and hosted by Cloudflare, a massive hosting provider. Honestly, we don't think it matters much. After all, everything was released in the press and through official channels beforehand!

I have exclusive material about the case! How can I send it to you?

Please don't! We are not a news company; we are merely a hub for browsing the Epstein files that have already been released. We don't have the bandwidth—or the experience, for that matter—to ensure that the content you provide is properly authenticated and redacted.

Who pays for this?

For now, hosting this website doesn't cost that much, so we (Paraphe Studio) are covering the expenses.

However, we hope to improve the website to make it a proper crowdsourcing platform to add proper metadata, groups, links to reports, etc. and that will cost us more. We are open to sponsorships to cover operating costs and the work we'll do to moderate and improve the platform. If you are a media outlet, a service or anything useful that would be of interest to our (let's hope highly engaged) audience, feel free to ping us at sponsor@wikiepstein.com.
